Robert Ilyes – the new coach of the FK Csikszereda team

The former player of Rapid and FC Brașov returns to his hometown, following three years spent at Sfântu Gheorghe, where he occupied the second position, in the mandates of Laszlo Csaba, Leo Grozavu and Cristiano Bergodi.

Ilyes also coached Csikszereda, in the 3rd League.

According to FRF, FK Csikszereda missed out on the second tier playoff, being in Group A of the playout.

“Sepsi OSK club management has reached an agreement regarding the amicable termination of contractual relations with second coach Ilyés Róbert. On this occasion, we thank him for the time he spent with us and wish him much success in his future career! Ilyés Róbert will take the position of head coach of FK Csíkszereda,” Sepsi OSK officials said.

As a footballer, the Harghite native played for Foresta Fălticeni, Astra Ploiesti, Rapid Bucharest, Khazar Lankaran (Azerbaijan), FC Brașov, FCM Târgu Mureș and FK Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc.
