The reality show “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family” has been running on free TV since 2011.
Robert (58) and Carmen Geiss (57) have been entertaining viewers in their reality show “The Geissens – a terribly glamorous family” for eleven years. In it, the family gives private insights into their luxurious life in Monaco and their vacations around the world. But what does the self-made millionaire’s account really look like? The 57-year-old now revealed this secret himself.
“I’ve got the full 100 million euros,” reveals the entrepreneur in the current episode of the “OMR” podcast. He adds: “That’s the pension, that’s the basis so that I can still live quietly at the age of 70.”
Down to earth despite the millions
As Robert continues to tell in the podcast, he stayed down to earth despite his wealth. The reason for this is his place of residence on the French Mediterranean coast. «Monaco has the advantage that we don’t feel really rich. Because people are walking around here, your shoes will fall out,” he says, adding: “When you go into the harbor, there are boats with a length of 100 or even 120 meters. There are models that cost 500 million euros. That means you just feel normal down there. And we just feel normal too. We’re not off the hook, even if we’re going by yacht.”
Robert earned his first millions in 1995 by selling the Uncle Sam fashion brand. Back then, he founded the label together with his brother in the 80s. The brothers then sold the brand for 140 million marks and shared the profit fairly among themselves. The entrepreneur now invests in real estate and stocks. However, his investments are not always successful. “Wirecard cost me money. But thank God there were only a few hundred thousand who were gone, »said the millionaire.
