Robert Fico appointed new Slovak Prime Minister

He has held the office several times in the past. Fico’s cabinet was also sworn in.

Fico leads a coalition of two social democratic parties, his SMER-SSD and HLAS, as well as the pro-Russian Slovak National Party (SNS). The SMER won the parliamentary elections on September 30th. The new Slovakian parliament was also constituted on Wednesday.
