But there has been no NBA career for the Romanian.
Instead, he has appeared on the big screen.
Robert Bobroczkyi has been making headlines since he was a teenager.
Ten years ago, he became viral when he measured a whopping 226 centimeters – as a 14-year-old – and according to Romanian sites, several NBA clubs already had their eyes on him.
He hasn’t really made it that far, instead playing basketball for Rochester University in recent years.

But this summer he has once again caused quite a stir.
This time as an actor in the bio-current film Alien: Romulus.
Impresses the director
Bobroczkyi appears in the film and has been praised by director Fede Alvarez.
– He did a fantastic performance to be someone who has never done it before. Being tall is one thing – but when he’s next to Caileeinfoclose CaileeCailee Spaeny plays the character Rain. (Spaeny) who is around 155 centimeters, it becomes magic. He really showed a talent that greatly impressed us all. He is face to face with Isabelainfoclose IsabelaIsabela Marced plays the character Kay. (Marced) in a face-to-face confrontation – and is fantastic,” Alvarez added USA Today.
Raised eyebrows
Director Fede Alvarez himself has posted a clip of X portraying Bobroczkyi. In the comment field there is a common thread; most are shocked that it is a real person.
”Holy shit, I thought it was CGI,” writes a user.
“How did you find him? He was perfect in the role,” writes another.
“Often it’s a real person? Wow!”writes a third.
