(Ecofin Agency) – The telecommunications company T-Mobile, a subsidiary of the operator Deutsche Telekom, is preparing to launch data roaming at no additional cost in 100 countries including the United States. The new unlimited package (SMS, voice and data) allows subscribers to use their Smartphones for data in all these countries. In other words, customers no longer need to buy a local SIM card when traveling abroad or add options to their subscription.

The new plan which will be marketed from October 20 will be offered at 50 dollars. However, the subscription will still have some limitations. Abroad, internet access can only be via the 2G (Edge) network with a speed that should be around 128 kb/s.

T-Mobile will also offer optional packages offering 100, 200 or 500 MB of high-speed data at an additional cost for more demanding customers. As far as telephone calls are concerned, they will be billed at a maximum of 0.20 dollars per minute abroad.
