Individual traffic, public transport: at the end of the lake, mobility habits are once more similar to those of 2019.
The Covid is flowing back, traffic is flowing. According to the State, traffic has returned to its 2019 level, with local variations (-8% and -1% on Avenue Casaï and Route de Vernier; +3% and +15% on Routes de Chancy and of Lausanne). The “Geneva Grandstand” also reports that the analysis of speeds makes it possible to detect the return of traffic jams.
This increased mobility can also be seen in the filling rates of public transport. Thus, last week, the TPGs recorded 3.98 million boardings, a level which had not been reached since March 2020. Finally, the Léman Express told the Geneva daily that it had felt a recovery in February.
