On the initiative of the Casablanca Stock Exchange and in partnership with the Regional Investment Center of the Oriental Region (CRI-Oriental), a meeting with the managers of companies in the Oriental Region was organized during the morning of May 13 in Oujda, under the theme “IPO, as a means of financing companies in the Oriental Region”.
This event, which is part of the national outreach campaign on IPO financing led by the Casablanca Stock Exchange, was held with the support of the Moroccan Capital Markets Authority (AMMC), the General Confederation of Eastern Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIS) of Oriental and the Regional Council of the Order of Chartered Accountants (OEC) of Oriental , according to a press release.
The objective of this meeting is to shed light on the financing opportunities offered by the stock market for SMEs with high growth potential and who wish to prepare their financing strategies on the market. This meeting also aims to present the development potential of companies in the Oriental Region.

To this end, a panel was organized to discuss the various economic, strategic and operational aspects of corporate financing through IPOs. It was held with the participation of Mr. Tarik SENHAJI, Managing Director of the Casablanca Stock Exchange; Mr. Noureddine BACHIRI, President of the CGEM of the Oriental; Mr. Rachid RAMI, Head of economic impulse and territorial offer of the CRI of the Oriental Region; Mr. Mohamed Amin FATMI, Vice-President of the CGEM of the Oriental; Mr. Nasser SEDDIQI, Director of financial operations and markets of the AMMC and Mr. El Hassane JAALI, Vice-President of the Order of Chartered Accountants of the Region of Fez – Meknes and Oriental.
For his opening remarks, Mr. Noureddine BACHIRI underlined the commitment of the CGEM of the Oriental for the development of the regional economic fabric as well as the importance of the opening of the SME members of the network on the new means of financing. , in particular the IPO, underlines the press release.
In his turn, Mr. Rachid RAMI, Head of the economic impulse and territorial offer pole of the CRI of the Oriental Region declared that the Oriental Region is today becoming an attractive Region for investments, and deserves to develop innovative financing mechanisms capable of supporting the current investment dynamics and territorial development of the Region, especially in anticipation of the commissioning of the future Nador West Med port complex.

The presentation by Mr. Tarik SENHAJI, Managing Director of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, focused on the role that the stock market can play in financing businesses in the Region, particularly SMEs, through the alternative market.
Mr. Tarik SENHAJI also discussed the functioning of the Casablanca Stock Exchange and its role as a catalyst for the New Model of Development and economic recovery.
In this regard, he declared: “The Stock Exchange is a proven vector of growth and development for companies, particularly SMEs. In addition to being a means of financing, the stock market is an effective mechanism that allows the company to perpetuate its existence, improve its notoriety and institutionalize its structures. »
Mr. Nasser SEDDIQI, Director of financial operations and markets of the AMMC addressed the regulatory aspect of the IPO process, particularly on the alternative market dedicated to SMEs.
In addition, he mentioned the various incentive solutions put in place by the market infrastructures to promote financing via the capital market, in particular the SME Offer aimed at facilitating the access of SMEs to the stock market in addition to the tax benefit generated by an IPO transaction.

After these various didactic presentations, the floor was given to the business leaders who showed great curiosity and strong interest through their questions and the ensuing debate.
It should be recalled that this meeting of the Oriental Region is a continuation of the national proximity campaign which started with the Tangier – Tetouan and Al Hoceima stage in December 2021 and continued with that of Fez-Meknes in March 2022.
Other Regions are scheduled as part of this national campaign, in particular the Casablanca-Settat region which will be held on May 18, 2022 at Most Events at 3:00 p.m., in addition to One to One meetings with targeted business leaders. .
