Road improvement works will be reactivated in the section connecting Yby Pytã with Ybyrarobana

Asunción, IP Agency.- The call for construction companies interested in the execution of the rehabilitation and asphalt paving works of a section that has 30 kilometers of the route PY03, between the localities of Yby Pytá – Ybyrarobana, in the department of Canindeyú.

This is the so-called MOPC No. 110/2024 published on the portal of the National Directorate of Public Procurement (DNCP) with ID No. 454,661, whose bid delivery date is set for Friday, October 11, 2024, 09:00.

This tender includes the improvement of route PY03 from km 31.5 to km 62.1, a sector that corresponds to Lot 2 of the tender with ID No. 371,286, carried out in 2019 and awarded to the firm B & B SA . However, through Resolution No. 1269/2023 dated July 19, 2023, the termination by mutual agreement of the parties of the SG Minister Contract No. 140/2020 signed with the aforementioned company was established.

The main works to be carried out

In the present call for bids, the works include cement soil subbase, stabilized granular base and asphalt concrete layer, reported the Ministry of Public Works and Communications.

Drainage works and complementary works such as horizontal and vertical signage, placement of reflective studs and studs, signaling gantries, weighing docks, among others, are also planned, with the estimated amount being G. 24,686,559,382 and the execution period of 8 months.

With the optimization of this road, some 12,000 residents of the Yby Pytá district and 15,000 residents of the town of Ybyrarobana will benefit, totaling 27,000 compatriots.

It should be noted that the economy of the area is characterized by having a large number of agricultural producers, especially corn, beans and cassava, who require an all-weather road in good condition to be able to transport their products to the various markets in the country.
