Asunción, IP Agency.- Within the framework of the road emergency in the department of Ñeembucú, road teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) are redoubling their efforts in the area of General Díaz, Villalbín and Isla Umbú, where at least 9,000 compatriots live, in order to recover and improve the passability of roads.
This week, several unpaved road sections were intervened with profiling and patching of the platform, as well as the cleaning of water channels to improve better water runoff.
The roads improved so far were: Desmochados – Villalbín; Pillar – Boquerón; General Díaz – Ybycuí area in coordination with the municipality and the Government of Ñeembucú; in addition to the Pilar – Boquerón route and the one that goes from Isla Umbú – Islerias and Isla Umbú to Mayor Martínez.
The cleaning of water channels was carried out in the Potrero Pirú area and in San Juan de Ñeembucú with the support and machinery of the Engineering Command.
The MOPC announced that the tasks will continue this Wednesday within the framework of the road emergency in other points considered critical, with the aim of guaranteeing the movement and connectivity of people.
