Brian “Road Dogg” James thinks he and Billy Gunn might have headlined a WrestleMania once morest WWE’s current top team.

The Hall of Famer spoke regarding this on a recent edition of his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, where he featured a New Age Outlaws debut taking on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles, a match that would continue last at the Showcase of the Immortals.

I don’t live in the past, Jack. I live today. So I want a shot at that undisputed Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn Tag Team Championship. But I want Billy and I to be at our peak.

I want us then, I want us in 98 once morest Kevin and Sami now, and I’ll tell you why. Both Kevin and Sami can go. They get into it. If you ever watch their matches – if you watch Kevin work with Gunther, he’s not afraid of a lick. They’re going to drop things off. This is exactly where Billy and I were in 98, we are young, hungry and eager to find out. We were ready to go around and [à le découvrir].

James continued, adding that he and Gunn would be heels in the hypothetical match once morest Owens and Zayn.

1998 Outlaws vs. I’d say they’re at their peak right now, but they’re probably a bit beyond that physically, to be completely honest with you, and I don’t want to rip them off. I also want them in their prime. It’s just me and Billy’s driveway. I want to be heels when we do too.

Elsewhere in the podcast, James said he considers the New Age Outlaws to be one of the best teams in professional wrestling history.

The Road Dogg also spoke regarding the evolution of Roman Reigns.

The WWE official was asked if WWE waited too long to allow Reigns to embrace his dark side.

“No, I don’t think so,” Road Dogg replied. “You have to let things sit, you have to let things simmer. I know it’s unpopular these days, where I can get what I want, and I can get it now. Sometimes you have to sit on it and see which way the wind is blowing. Boy, that blew in the right direction, because look at where we are now, and where he is now – as an individual and a superstar. »

“People hated him, they hated him. They hate him now and yet everyone in the sold-out arena and there are plenty of them now, recognizes him on the weekly. They listen to his every word, they cling to his every word and every [expression] facial in these in-ring promos. »

Road Dogg praised him for his character work while doing the Bloodline story.

“He’s the best I’ve ever seen in wrestling. I will say it without a shadow of a doubt,” added James. “Roman gets down on his knees and cries, then punches [le coup bas] … It hurt my heart.
