Road crews restore transitability of rural roads in San Pedro

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) restored the transitability of eight rural roads belonging to the unpaved road network in the department of San Pedro.

For example, on 8 de diciembre Street, crews restored the platform and patched the potholes, managing to recover a 7.5 km stretch of road that is mainly used for transporting products such as coal, cassava, corn and sesame, where about 300 people live.

These types of interventions were also carried out on 26 de diciembre Street, 9 de junio Street and on the route that connects Guajayvi with the Primavera Real settlement, whose inhabitants are also dedicated to agriculture.

Likewise, 5 km of the road that connects the community of Liberación with 1° de marzo street was recovered; another 5 km on the road that connects Choré with Santo Domingo street and 8 km more of San Juan Yataity del Norte street.

On the other hand, the teams recovered 2 km of 12,000 Defensores Street and in the same section the construction of ditches was carried out, achieving a production of 1.5 km.

The restoration of this road is of utmost importance because it benefits more than 1,500 citizens who live in its surroundings, according to the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).
