Starting Monday, portions of Front Street north of downtown Salem will be closed for railroad and pavement repairs.
Salem officials are warning drivers that a detour will be in place on Front Street NE near Market Street NE and River Street NE through Oct. 9.
The work, which is in coordination with Portland & Western Railroad Inc., will have road closures set in place with detours that allow for some local access. The closure will include any streets crossing Front Street through the area.
The Current Road Conditions Map on the city website provides up-to-date information on scheduled or emergency road closures in Salem.
