Road Closure on Saint-Louis Street for Construction and Vaccination Clinic: Important Information and Updates

2023-11-05 10:03:00

Saint-Louis Street will be blocked as of Monday, November 6, to allow the connection of the housing and services complex under construction to the existing water and sewer lines.

The operation should take place over a week, particularly due to the depth of the pipes at this location and their diameter. The obstacle will remain for a few additional days to allow for paving work.

Traffic arriving from rue de la Chute or the Maison des vins area will simply be diverted towards rue Amyot via rue Sainte-Anne. On the other hand, the sector between Sainte-Anne and Lafontaine streets will be open to local traffic only up to the limits of the trench, which will be impossible to cross.

VACCINATION CLINIC

Thus, citizens wishing to go to the vaccination and screening center of the CISSS du Bas-Saint-Laurent – back for a few weeks on rue Saint-Louis – will have to take the intersection with rue Lafontaine at the height of the business Aux Fous Brassant. They will also have to leave via this same intersection.

The City thanks road users for their usual cooperation and invites them to exercise caution and vigilance around construction sites.
