After the road, the rails blocked by the rocks at Bernina
A landslide in the Bernina region blocks road and rail connections. Until Sunday at least.

At least 1000 m3 of rocks started moving on Thursday evening near the extension site of the Bernina road between Pisciadell and S. Carlo. In order to return the road to traffic as quickly as possible, the Graubünden Public Works Office began work on Friday. These include, among other things, the felling of exposed trees, the clearing of rocks around the site and the installation of protective fences.
Bad news never comes alone: on Saturday, the railway line was blocked by rocks. The sections between St. Moritz and Alp Grüm, as well as between Tirano and Poschiavo are affected. The RhB line is closed to rail traffic between Poschiavo and Alp Grüm. It is not known when traffic will be able to resume, while the road should reopen on Sunday.
