LIFTER Rizki Juniansyah used the bonus money he received to renovate his training facilities located at the RSS Complex of the Serang City Government, Banten.

The 2024 Olympic weightlifting gold medalist, in Serang, Wednesday (14/8), said the best bonus from Indonesia for him would be used for useful things, especially to build and renovate a gym at his residence.

“Yes, my wish is to renovate and improve the Bulldog Gym. Because we train in this remote place in the RSS Pemda Complex,” he said.

Rizki hopes that the renovation of the Bulldog Gym will produce other high-achieving athletes from Serang City, Banten.

“I also want to build and accelerate this arena again, so that in the future new Rizki-Rizki will be born, who can bring a good name.
Banten Province at the national level,” said Rizki.

The government has confirmed that there are big bonuses waiting for athletes who win gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

President Jokowi said that Rp6 billion would be given as a token of appreciation to the athletes who won gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Rizki Juniansyah won a gold medal in the 73 kg weightlifting class at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This athlete from Serang City managed to win with a total lift of 354 kg, with a breakdown of 155 kg for the snatch and 199 kg for the clean and jerk.

In addition to winning the gold medal, Rizki also broke the Olympic record in the clean and jerk of 73 kg which was previously held by his Chinese competitor, Shi Zhiyong, with a record of 198 kg. (Ant/Z-1)
