The third Riyadh Health Caucus clarified the target groups for early detection of colorectal cancer, which is one of the most common types of cancer in the Kingdom.

The target group for early detection of colon cancer

The third Riyadh Health Assembly said in an explanatory infographic, which it published on its official account on Twitter, that people with an average risk of colon cancer are:

Age 45-75.

– Male and female.

People with a high risk of infection

The Riyadh Health Cluster also showed people with a high risk of infection, who are:

– Infection with meat appendages.

Having a previous injury or family history of the disease.

Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis.

Exposure to radiotherapy during childhood.

– Familial adenomatous syndrome.

Symptoms of colon cancer

1- The feeling of not emptying the stomach completely when defecating.

2- Bleeding from the anus or blood in the stool.

3- Abdominal disorders such as cramps, flatulence, or pain for a long time.

4- The constant feeling of wanting to go to the bathroom.

5-Unexplained weight loss.

6- Severe anemia of unknown cause.

7- Weakness, weakness and lack of appetite with deterioration of general health.

Factors that increase colorectal cancer

1- Getting old.

2- Inflammatory bowel conditions for long periods.

3- A family history of colorectal cancer.

4- Eating foods that are low in fiber and excessive fat, red meat and processed meat.

5- Lack of sports activities.

6- Diabetes and obesity.

Colon cancer prevention

1- Quit smoking.

2- Avoid obesity and maintain a normal weight.
