The River Board of Directors met once more at the Monumental, this time to address a broad agenda, in which two major issues stood out: football and the economic-financial situation. In the middle of a transfer market that is still open and at a time that coincides with the end of one financial year and the start of the other, the debate basically focused on the balance sheet that the club is going throughbut also in what is projected for the next period.
As for professional football, The CD del Más Grande approved the improvement and extension of the contracts of José Paradela, Agustín Palavecino, Leandro Peña Biafore and Agustín Wierna Luque. Franco Petroli’s loan to Estudiantes de Río Cuarto and the first contracts of three youth players were also considered: Joaquín Flores, Agustín Obregón and Daniel Zabala, all current members of the Reserve squad. The Board of Directors approved this Thursday the calculation of resources, expenses and investments of the Budget for 2023/24, which includes two very interesting issues: On the one hand, it is contemplated an investment of 50,000,000 dollars in infrastructure; on the other hand, there will be 30,000,000 for professional football and 7,500,000 for youth football.
Regarding the works, the next period will aim at several objectives: finishing the tasks in the Monumental Stadium, the construction of the new building for the educational area in all its levels, the construction of a Sports Center, the remodeling of the changing rooms of partners and the enhancement of the new property Granted by the State Assets Administration Agency for the development of a high-performance center for youth and children’s divisions, both men’s and women’s soccer. Now, both the Balance Sheet and the Budget must be submitted to the Assembly of Partner Representatives for approval.
