Originally, 18-year-old Chloé Cartier was looking for an internship with a sound engineer. Eventually, she finds herself sound engineer of the El Mundo stage. For his first year at the Montreux Jazz Festival, six years ago, Marc Heimendinger started out as a lighting designer. At 26, he is now a lighting designer for Lisztomania.

The difficulty, for Chloé, is to “find a beautiful harmony between the different instruments”. For Marc, he improvises most of the time. “We follow the music without knowing what will happen. And we try to embellish the artist on stage,” he said.
