The average price of rents increased, by 2.5 to 3.5%, in the three regions of the country compared to 2022, according to the biannual barometers published on Saturday by the Federation of French-speaking real estate agents of Belgium (Federia) and the Confederatie van Immobiliënberoepen. It is in the Brussels region that the average rent is the highest, at €1,188.
In the capital, this average rent increased by 3.3% compared to 2022. The largest increase (+9.15%) concerns studios. Their average rent is now 799 euros compared to 732 euros in 2022. Apartments, which represent more than 90% of rentals in Brussels, have seen an increase of 3.85% in their average rent. It now stands at 1,159 euros compared to 1,116 euros in 2022. However, significant disparities remain between the Brussels municipalities. The average rent for an apartment is 1,371 euros in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, the most expensive municipality, compared to 879 euros in Jette, at the opposite end of the spectrum.
