The price of gasoline in Colombia rose $400. The average value of the gallon of fuel will be $13,964. However, the Government kept the price of ACPM per gallon frozen.

It is worth mentioning that with this increase, the government of President Petro intends to reduce the significant fiscal impact due to the dynamics of the international prices of refined products, which, compared to local prices, still present a gap in gasoline and ACPM, being greater in this fuel.

Thus, the price of a gallon of gasoline has to reach $16,000 before the end of this year to smooth out the deficit that remains in the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPC).

According to the Ministry of Finance, the ACPM has remained stable in order to favor the downward trend in food inflation that is taking place.
