Several changes will come into effect in 2023. Like every year, some fees are increasing while others are decreasing. Some advantages disappear or are reinforced. What do we gain and what do we lose in 2023?
THE GOOD NEWS
From January 1, the salary of Belgians will be increased by a minimum of €50 per month, or €600 per year. This is an adaptation of the tax scales.
Buying a house will also cost €1,000 less. Notary fees will decrease from January 1st.
Finally, for single-parent families, the prices of subsidized crèches will be reduced by 30%.
In Brussels, male homosexual couples will have a birth bonus.
Finally, parental leave for fathers and co-parents will now be 20 days, compared to 15 currently.
BAD NEWS
However, the consultation with the general practitioner will cost you more from next January.
You will have to pay 30€. Proximus will also increase its prices (by 4 to 6%).
And it will take +15% for the price of the stamp.
REGIONAL SPECIFICATIONS
In Brussels, service vouchers are increasing, up to €10.
In Wallonia, the price of water will be a little more expensive: €2.83 per cubic meter. The price had not increased since 2014.
