The department is not only a powerhouse in nature tourism, it also attracts thousands of people a year who come to the Risaraldense territory to undergo different health treatments or to take advantage of its wellness benefits.
With the purpose of strengthening these aspects, the Risaralda Comfort Health cluster was created, which is a quality inter-institutional cooperation network in the provision of health and wellness tourism services offered in the region for the attention of the national and international market, contributing to the improvement of regional competitiveness.
Catherine Arango, executive director of the Cluster, highlighted that two missions have already been carried out to look for potential clients, one of them in Aruba and the other in Miami, which has made it possible to publicize the portfolio of services of this network.
Among the objectives of the cluster are: Integrate tourism, health and wellness providers in the region. Promote the culture for cooperation between institutions. Build a unified portfolio of health and wellness tourism providers. Facilitate members access to international markets. Promote and generate innovation processes in institutions, through the execution of joint projects. Contribute to the international projection of the region.
The cluster is made up of health establishments: Clinics of the 4th level of complexity, IPS of different specialties and health professionals with their office enabled.
In tourism for lodging in hotels in urban and rural areas, specialized transportation and tourist plans. And in wellness for Spa, Thermalism and Holistic Therapies.
They are currently part of the Comfamiliar Risaralda cluster, Inser, Neurocentro, Perinatal Care, Cardiovascular Institute, Bioprot SAS, Cirumax, López Correa Laboratory, Respiremos SAS, Cedicaf- Radiologists, IPS Vitasalud, IPS Prevendi, Skin and Beauty Dermatological Center, Dra. Gladys Londoño (Aesthetic Medicine), Dr. Adriana Ocampo Londoño (Allergist), Dr. Elsy Yaneth Porras (Clinical Nutritionist), Dr. Orlando Neira (Optometrist), Dr. Yilmar Caviedes (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon), Dr. César Bolaños (Plastic Surgeon and Reconstructive), Dr. Catalina Osorio (Urologist), Visus Hotel Boutique & Spa, Cotelco chapter Risaralda, Living Trips and Termales Santa Rosa.
The Executive Director of the Risaralda Comfort Health cluster, assured that they will continue to carry out missions to other cities in the country and the world, with the purpose of potentiating the sector, they will also continue the conversations with more establishments of the department to strengthen the cluster. In addition, she highlighted the importance of having the support of the public sector.
