Unrest broke out in Nanterre and other suburbs of the French capital on Wednesday night. Youths set cars and garbage cans on fire and attacked security forces with firecrackers. 24 police officers were slightly injured, around 30 people were temporarily arrested. The reason for the unrest is the death of a 17-year-old who was fatally injured by a police officer’s shot on Tuesday morning.
