Riots at the G20 summit: verdicts handed down in Hamburg – SAT.1 REGIONAL

Seven years ago, the G20 summit took place in Hamburg. It gained notoriety due to the riots of hundreds of autonomous protesters who set cars on fire, erected barricades in the Schanzenviertel and threw stones at police forces. Two of the summit opponents at the time were sentenced on Tuesday by the Hamburg Regional Court to 90 daily rates of 15 euros each for breach of the peace, aiding and abetting attempted dangerous bodily harm and aiding and abetting physical attacks on police officers.
