Ríos, from Pichetto’s party, accused Cervi of demanding $20,000 from the candidates

It was reported last night that Federal Republican Encounter (ERF) withdrew of the alliance that support Paul Cervi cAs a candidate for governor of Neuquén, in the April 16 elections. The referent of space, Juan Riosexplained to RÍO NEGRO RADIO that they made the decision following learning that he was demanding $20,000 from each candidatefor the campaign. The national deputy denied the accusation and linked it to a request for applications.

Ríos, in “Who Said Summer”, assured that Cervi forces deputy candidates to sign a document in which they agree to allocate $20,000 to the campaign, for example, in billboards. He affirmed that this was the reason why they decided to withdraw their support and that they have the endorsement of Miguel Ángel Pichetto, national leader of ERF.

“We have been active in the Justicialista party all our lives and this type of thing has never happened, ever,” Ríos replied when asked if this was a common practice in the context of elections.

The ERF reference from Neuquén also devalued Cervi as a candidate by characterizing him as “a boy who does not understand anything regarding politics” and stating that “he has no chance of anything.”

Ríos indicated that they have already begun the actions to formally withdraw their participation in the alliance and that they will focus on working for the national elections.

Cervi, for his part, was made aware of the situation in the following program, “Ya es tiempo.” He acknowledged that he was unaware of the accusation and denied it, expressing his surprise: “it is totally a lie.” Although Ríos said that they wanted to speak with him, but he refused because he was at the UCR convention, the gubernatorial candidate affirmed that they never had contact.

For Cervi, from ERF they are angry because “what they were looking for were places or positions.” He clarified that since it is a complex issue, he will analyze the steps to follow with his team before taking any type of action.
