Two women, mother and daughter, were beaten this Tuesday followingnoon in the city of Río Tercero by a thief who entered to rob a pool agency in the Villa Zoila neighborhood.
The event occurred following 5:40 a.m. on Roque Saénz Peña street, between Yatasto and 3 de Febrero, in a busy area of that neighborhood by neighbors and vehicles because it was located meters from a supermarket and several shops.
The man, in his 40s, entered the premises and demanded the money from the cash register, without showing any type of weapon.
Dissatisfied with the money the women gave him (between 10,000 and 20,000 pesos), he crossed the counter and hit the 36-year-old owner and her 54-year-old mother.
He immediately entered another unit of the house next to which the pool agency works and stole three cell phones and fled.
The older woman was taken to the Provincial Hospital, where she was found to have minor injuries.
The agency has been working at that address for four years and it is the first time it has suffered a robbery.
For several months, Río Tercero has experienced an increasing number of robberies, a situation that worries all sectors of the city.
