The City of Rio de Janeiro, through the Municipal Secretariat of Science and Technology (SMCT), announced this week the opening of more than 3,900 vacancies for workshops, workshops and courses in the technological area. The initiative is part of the municipal management’s efforts to offer quality education to residents, facilitating their entry into the job market.
Among the topics that will be taught by Nave do Knowledge teachers are the creation and development of games, photography with a cell phone, video editing and guidance on how to behave in a job interview. These courses will be the gateway for those who intend to invest in markets related to content creation and technology.

On its official website, SMCT highlights several face-to-face courses with open registration, including Internet Security, which takes place at the Penha (RJ) unit with a workload of 12 hours and lasting from the 5th to the 17th of October. For students and university students there are special classes on ABNT standards, used in Course Completion Works (TCC).
There are also options aimed at children with Kids IT classes (in-person) and workshops with games stimulating children’s creativity. Although the focus is on classes, the Municipal Department of Science and Technology also offers lectures with experts from different areas and workshops.
To register, you need to access the SMCT website and choose the desired option that has open registration, then click on the “Sign up” button and log in with your username and password — if you don’t have one, create one! Pay attention to whether the modality in question is in person or remotely, in addition to the workload and class days.
