Kolkata: Lucknow have entered the playoffs after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by one run in the deciding match of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League. Batting first, Lucknow scored 176 runs for 8 wickets, while KKR, who came in reply, scored 175 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Lucknow booked the play-off ticket with a one-run win.
Lucknow got a lucky one-run win but KKR’s Rinku Singh gets the applause. The batting of the star shook Lucknow till the last ball. Rinku remained unbeaten with 67 runs off 33 balls including 6 fours and 4 sixes. His performance was at a strike rate of 203.3.
