My brother was working in a coaching center. I got a job as a sweeper there. At that time I gave up cricket for that. But I didn’t like the job. Why should I leave cricket for the job of a spitter? Rinku Singh came to active cricket at the age of 16 by playing List A cricket for Uttar Pradesh. The debut was in March 2014. He also made his Twenty20 debut in the same month. Ranji Trophy career started in 2016. He was acquired by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 for Rs 80 lakh but had to wait till 2013 to get a permanent deal. Taking advantage of the opportunity he waited for, Rinku made a name for himself in IPL 2023 with his explosive batting. Rinku Singh’s dreams are now at the doorstep of the Indian team. Rinku is likely to be in the squad for the Twenty20 series against the West Indies.
