Rimac now has a new division: Rimac Energy. The Croatian group will launch the production of stationary batteries in 2025, but does not target individuals.

The production of electric sports cars is only one part of Rimac’s activity. The Croatian group, for example, supplies components (batteries, motors, power electronics, etc.) for other manufacturers, such as Pininfarina or Aston Martin. He now adds a new string to his bow with the Rimac Energy division.

In 2025, the production of stationary energy storage solutions will begin in Croatia. Batteries intended to store energy, in particular in connection with renewable energies.

A bit of Rimac in his garage?

Rimac does not communicate any characteristics of its ESS (Energy Storage System) and is content to mention a 50% reduction in efficiency losses and a 40% reduction in footprint.

It is on its new campus in Sveta Nedelja that Rimac will start producing these batteries in 2025, with an announced capacity of 10 GWh/year. The first test units will nevertheless be presented and installed in 2024.
