RightPharm raises $2.8 million in funding round

Right Farm is headquartered in the United Arab Emirates and works to provide fresh produce from local and international farms to meet the growing demand in the food and retail sectors. Disrupt ID, the startup support platform of the Holding Company (ADQ), in cooperation with Enhance Ventures, a project support and financing studio in the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey, led the initial funding round, where it was able to raise funding With a value of $2.8 million (10.2 million dirhams), which will be invested in agricultural technology, by supporting the rapid technical development of Right Farm and implementing its ambitious plans to grow its operations in the region. Right Farm was established in 2021, with the aim of addressing the gaps in the value chain of fresh produce in the UAE, the Middle East and North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey, by developing technologies that enable companies to improve their sources and means of purchasing fresh produce. Through its innovative platform, the Right Farm one-stop shop uses predictive technology that facilitates routing, operations and purchasing, which is designed to provide an easy and comprehensive process of moving produce from farm to table. The project provides access to more than 1,000 varieties of fruits, vegetables and small greens, enabling businesses to place orders and receive fresh produce within 12 hours. “The investment from Desperate AD and Enhance Ventures will help accelerate our start-up journey and unlock access to ADQ’s growing food and agriculture portfolio,” said Eli Skaf, co-founder and CEO of Right Farm. During the previous period, we worked on creating a product suitable for market needs and are currently developing technology that will modernize the fresh produce sector to ensure a seamless customer experience, while maximizing operational efficiency and enabling cross-market access. With the completion of the initial funding round, we are confident that our business will see further growth opportunities across different segments of the market, while we will focus on creating a sustainable and commercially viable business model.” The founding team of Right Pharm includes CEO Elie Skaf, Chief Operating Officer Mazen Murad, and Chief Technology Officer Mohamed Abu Ajamiya, who lead a diverse team of more than 30 members from 13 different nationalities with experience in tech startups. and the fresh produce sector.
