Riga received millions of euros, which it will spend on traffic lights, asphalt and bump stops

14.5 million euros for road improvement and traffic safety. Of these funds, 3.6 million euros will be used to finance projects for which contracts were previously concluded in order to complete their implementation.

And 10.9 million euros are planned to be invested in financing new projects. Of these, 4.4 million are for reworking the existing infrastructure and creating the currently missing infrastructure.

For the restructuring of existing technical means of traffic management (traffic lights, bump stops, road signs, pedestrian crossings) – 3.6 million, and 2.9 million – for the creation of new projects and organization of construction.

As part of what is envisaged, the creation of a third lane from Jurmalas Gate to Kurzemsky Avenue at Zolitudes Street is included. Restoration of asphalt pavement on the street. Grostonas, installation of a bicycle lane on the street. Dzirnavu and improvement of intersections in the area from the street. Terbatas to Skolas.

The project for extending the street should also move forward. Muryanyu from st. Juglas to st. Strazdumuižas and construction of Lojas Street. It is not the city that needs this, but the nouveau riche, but since the city once sold them land for the construction of apartment buildings and since then the traffic there has increased significantly, now they have somehow gotten the city to develop the road.

Significant funds will be spent on creating project documentation. The overpass of Bauskas streets through Ulmana gatve needs repair. A complete reconstruction of the Ganibu Dambis / Tvaika / Duntes intersection, the overpass over the Sound and other objects is necessary.
