Golkar Party politician Ridwan Kamil (RK) confirmed that he will be paired with Social Justice Party (PKS) politician Suswono. RK conveyed this after attending the Commemoration of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence in the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago.
“Hehe, more or less (with Suswono),” said RK at the IKN, Saturday, August 17, 2024.
RK denied that he would be paired with the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangerap. RK emphasized that his running mate in the gubernatorial election was a name that had been circulating, namely Suswono.
In addition, several parties will declare support for RK and Suswono next week. However, RK was reluctant to reveal which parties would provide support.
“Wait for the release date,” he explained.
The Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) has agreed to advance gubernatorial candidate Ridwan Kamil and his deputy Suswono from PKS in the 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election. KIM plans to announce the pair Ridwan Kamil and Suswono on August 19.

According to Gerindra Party Daily Chair Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, the parties that are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition are currently still discussing the technicalities of whether the announcement will be held separately or simultaneously.
“We officially agreed to announce it on August 19, probably in the afternoon or evening. Watch the game date,” said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
