Riding without a helmet: moped driver (54) injured in St. Thomas am Blasenstein

A 54-year-old from St. Thomas am Blasenstein was riding his moped in St. Thomas am Blasenstein on Wednesday at around 7:15 p.m. A 33-year-old from Pabneukirchen came towards him in her car on a sharp right-hand bend.

The moped driver, who was not wearing a helmet, was frightened and probably drove too far to the right onto the road shoulder. He fell, hit his head and was briefly unconscious. The 33-year-old immediately administered first aid and called the emergency services. The man was treated by the emergency doctor and taken to the Amstetten State Hospital with injuries.
