As an effort to support the inauguration of President and Vice President Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, on Sunday (20/10), PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) treated the tariff at IDR 1 for electric rail train (KRL) tickets at all commuter line stations in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek).

Vice President (VP) Corporate Secretary of PT KAI Commuter Joni Martinus explained that the rates apply to all types of bank electronic money card payments with a minimum balance of IDR 5,000.

“The Rp. 1 tariff is applied for one day, namely tomorrow. This is to support the movement of people who want to celebrate the inauguration of the new president and new vice president,” he said in Jakarta, Saturday (19/10).

The inauguration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as president and vice president on Sunday will be graced by a people’s party stage along Jalan Sudirman to Medan Merdeka Utara, Jakarta. With the application of the IDR 1 fare, it is estimated that Jabodetabek KRL passengers will be overflowing to watch this entertainment.

“This Rp. 1 tariff could be used by people who apparently don’t just want to go to a people’s party, but there are also those who want to go for a walk,” said Joni.

In this period, he continued, KCI will operate 1,048 trips. The number of trips increased from the previous weekend period which was 962 trips. KCI predicts Manggarai Station, Sudirman Baru Station or BNI City, Juanda, Tanah Abang and Cikini. The operational hours for the Jabodetabek KRL remain unchanged from 04.00 to 24.00 WIB.

“On Sundays, there are usually around 960 trips. So, specifically for next Sunday, October 20, the KRL trips will be 1,048 trips or the same as on normal working days,” concluded Joni. (Z-11)
