To be seen on OCS from September 14, 2023, Laughter is one of the 5 TV series supported by the Region which were presented at Séries Mania in March 2023.
And it is one of the two finally rewarded on this occasion: it received the Prize for best series in the Comedies competition.
Genre ? Crazy, like other OCS creations including 3615 Monica, series also produced with the support of the Region.

What if laughter became forbidden? The slightest chuckle or sneer spied on, hunted down, repressed?… From this dystopian concept, the series pushes the logic to the end… and makes you laugh a lot!
The story: in a world where laughter, considered degrading, has been abolished, Stéphane (Fred Testot), an exemplary citizen and model employee, is responsible for spotting outlaws. Headphones on, he keeps watch. But everything becomes complicated when he meets Céline (Ophélia Kolb, revealed by Ten percent, another series supported by the Region), its new intern.
It’s stronger than her: upon contact, Céline can’t help but laugh. Because Stéphane is, with his facial expressions, involuntarily very funny. Kidnapped by the Rebels, pursued by the Adjusters, the implacable laughter police, will Stéphane dare to transgress the law and abandon himself to the subversive delights of laughter?
A series by Arnaud Malherbe and Marion Festraëts, to whom we already owe the series Chefs et Moloch in a very different genre.
