In search of psychological support, the Brazilian striker admitted, moved, to the microphones of ESPN that he was going through troubled times as he suffered a series of poor performances and health problems. “I will soon have an operation on my pubic bone,” the player said on Monday.

On the bench in the clash full of twists and turns between Chelsea and Tottenham (4-1), Monday evening, and absent from the Brazilian selection list, the 26-year-old center forward expressed the need to “rest, to stop for a second.”

“The last few months have not been easy for me. I have had health problems. I have already spoken to the doctors and I will soon have pubic surgery,” he said, on the verge of tears.

“I understand the coach, I would have done the same thing in his place”

Little resentful of Fernando Diniz’s decision, the Spurs striker said he “understood” his coach. “He made the right choice. If I were him, I would have done the same thing,” insisted the player, stuck in a long period of shortage. He will therefore miss the matches once morest Colombia on November 16 and Argentina on November 21.

More concerned regarding his state of health, the Brazilian also admitted to suffering in his pubic bone “for eight months”, for a pathology which would require a surgical operation. “I was focused on the team, on fighting, but I didn’t didn’t take care of myself,” he concluded.

Author of just three goals last season with Tottenham, Richarlison has only scored one goal in ten games this season.
