Richard Gere (73) has to cope with a heavy loss. Just a few weeks ago, the actor’s fans were very worried about him. The “Pretty Woman” actor was hospitalized with pneumonia. In the meantime, the movie star is doing better again, but now he has to fight his way through another low: As his wife Alejandra (40) announced, is Richards father deceased.
On Instagram the 40-year-old shared the sad news with her followers. “Homer George Gere, a community activist in North Syracuse, has died in North Salem, New York. He was 100 years old at the time of his death on March 1, 2023“Wrote the native Spaniard in her post and paid tribute to her father-in-law’s life with touching lines. “Gere accepted life with love, friendliness, openness and curiosity. He will be remembered for embracing life so happily, for hugging so many people and for making so many friends.” Alejandra.
In addition, the mother of two revealed that her family soon want to celebrate her father-in-law’s life together – she kept it to herself when the funeral should take place. “In May, just before Gere’s 101st birthday, there will be a celebration of his lifetime”she shared. Richard himself has not yet commented on his father’s death.
