You can easily pass by with events that are announced well in advance, especially in these times of high demand for tickets. Concerts, movies, plays put tickets on sale months before the date and things can happen in between. That commitments overlap or that due to force majeure they cannot attend. Or they simply forget.

This happened with Priscila and her father, both followers of Divididos, who got the tickets to go with their father to see the trio at the Movistar Arena… and when the date arrived they forgot regarding it. After their historic concert last May in Vélez, where they celebrated 35 years of career, Ricardo Mollo, Diego Arnedo and Catriel Ciavarella announced a series of dates at the Villa Crespo venue, two for the first weekend of September and another two this Friday the 15th and Saturday the 16th.

However, the advance notice played a trick on the young woman, who recounted her frustration on her Twitter account “My dad got tickets THREE months ago for us to go to a recital together. It was two days ago. We forgot to go,” Priscila wrote on September 4, alongside a photo of Marge Simpson with which she sought to express her disappointment. A few hours later, when the message had had a good impact, she played a card and launched it into the virtual universe. “Well, in one of those cases, if Mollo reads this tweet and wants to show solidarity with a new date, it would be great for me.”

Sometimes the social network leaves hatred and violence aside and goes into chain of favors mode. Between the viralization of the message and the push from well-known and anonymous people, it finally reached the band, prior to last Friday’s concert. “Hello Priscila. Do you want to come to the show tomorrow? Ask your dad if he can,” they wrote from the official Instagram account. The gesture was celebrated by the entire virtual universe, which followed the story with all the expectation, remembering similar experiences and exerting force for the feat to come to fruition.

Priscila and her father not only managed to go to the recital they had waited three months for. They also attended the sound check and had a meeting with Mollo, with whom they laughingly recounted the situation. “The good thing was the sincerity,” said the guitarist, who then posed for a photo with the young woman and the drummer Catriel Ciavarella. Happy ending to a story that was born from forgetfulness and ended with father and daughter singing the songs of the Steamroller two weeks later than scheduled but with redoubled emotion.

Last June, while the band was touring the country as part of its 30-year tour, another particular episode involving the band went viral on the networks. It was when the trio went through Patagonia, to give a concert in Trelew and another in Comodoro Rivadavia. And following the latter, while they were heading to the airport to return to Buenos Aires, a curious road incident caused the musicians to forget their status as rock stars for a while and give rein to their spirit of solidarity.

It all happened when a vehicle suffered a battery failure, which prompted Ricardo Mollo and Catriel Ciavarella to get off the bus that was transporting them to see how they might help. The images that circulated on the networks show the guitarist pushing with two other people, while the drummer was in the driver’s seat and trying to start the car.
