Rhythmic gymnastics strengthens the athlete’s development model

The discipline started the season with different activities. This week the 2024 Summer Campus takes place in Posadas and Oberá. More than 50 gymnasts participate.

Missionary gymnastics plans a year of growth in all its branches. This week the Summer Campus rhythmic gymnastics, within the framework of Training Programs. Furthermore, since the Missionary Gymnastics Federation different goals were set to enhance the growth of local gymnasts. They await the arrival of a national tournament in the red land.

In relation to the campus, the president of the federation, Norma Thiel, provided details regarding the objective of the event. “We aim to work with advanced gymnasts to correct posture, flexibility and strength. In addition, it aims to grow the techniques of our athletes.”he told LT17.

The entity reported that the campus is organized by the Weise (Posadas) and Municipal Oberá rhythmic gymnastics schools. It is in charge of the teacher Mariela Aprigliano – FIG III coach and international FIG judge – and takes place in two venues. From Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, at CePARD (Posadas). While this Wednesday followingnoon, Thursday and Friday – in a double shift – it will be at the Ian Barney II Stadium (Oberá).

The level of gymnastics in the province

On the other hand, Thiel said that currently, the province has a high level of competitors. The goal is to grow even more and provide them with more tools. “Missionary rhythmic gymnastics is at a good level, we have gymnasts in different national categories. “This is good because it strengthens the basis of discipline in the province.”he indicated.

Finally, regarding short-term objectives, he stated that they will work to strengthen schools in the interior. “We have to aim for comprehensive growth. How to also target the motivation of the gymnasts for their development”he concluded.
