RFU President Alexander Dyukov spoke regarding the agreement to hold a match with the Serbian national team.

“We agreed with the Serbs. Next year we will play a friendly match in Russia. We received approval from UEFA. But anything can happen next,” leads TASS words from the head of the Russian Football Union.

“You can play with different countries, but it’s more correct to play here, in Russia, in regions that love football. We, of course, need to strive to play matches in front of full stands. I cannot guarantee that the Serbs will definitely come, there is a contract that has been signed,” added Alexander Dyukov.

Last year, the RFU had an agreement to hold a game once morest the team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but at the end of October the Bosnian side refused the meeting.

In February 2022, FIFA and UEFA suspended Russian clubs and national teams from participating in international tournaments.
