In 2022, the increase in the complete cost price reaches in long distance + 18.5% for a heavy goods vehicle running on diesel and + 43.3% for a HGV running on LNG.

The spike in energy costs in 2022 has had a huge impact on inflation.

The increase in the cost of driving personnel also weighed heavily on the evolution of TRM costs in 2022: three revaluations of the conventional salary scales in 2022, with a total impact for the year of + 12.4%. We can also note the appreciation of the price of vehicles by +11%.

The lingering effects of the covid crisis and the outbreak of war in Ukraine have thrown economies into inflationary turmoil. In 2022, RFT companies experienced an increase in their costs never before recorded.

For 2023, the inflation forecast for non-fuel costs is around +8.8% on annual average. The main factor remains the cost of driving personnel (+ 12.7% on annual average on salaries and charges). Among the other items on the rise for an articulated assembly, maintenance should stand at +6.6%, tolls around +4.6% and equipment holding costs at +4.3%.
