Rey Mysterio will be part of the Hall of Fame 2023

Rey Mysterio was announced as the first introduced to the 2023 edition of the WWE Hall of Fame during the broadcasts Friday Night SmackDown. The event ceremony will take place on March 31, a few days before WrestleMania 39.

The masked man came on stage following the announcement of his introduction, he stood in the ring. After a great ovation from the public, he decided to speak and thank those present until was interrupted by his son Dominik and The Judgment Day.

Dominik blurted out that now he should feel proud, following missing so many birthdays, Christmas, happy moments, to have his goal in WWE. And he added that following 20 years, his mother was right, he was ashamed to be her son. Rey was regarding to respond but Legacy of the Ghost arrived for the fight.

Judgment Day took the victory in a tag team match that was held at the time. After the match, Dominik asked his teammates to leave the ring so he might talk to his father. He mentioned that he still can’t believe that WWE inducts his father into the Hall of Fame, because the Hall of Fame that his father belongs to is for delinquent parents. Dominik then said that should have been Eddie Guerrero’s son. Rey asked his son to recant. Dominik then demanded that he hit him, just like he did on other occasions lately. Rey refused and Dominik then went for the masked man but fell to ringside.

In July 2022, Rey Mysterio celebrated his 20-year career with WWEwhere he won various titles in which are the WWE and the World Heavyweight Championshipin addition to the affection of fans around the world for his character underdog. The company rewarded him for these years of work with a place in its Hall of Fame.
