According to a security source, on Monday, October 7, police officers in the Marrakesh security state were able to arrest a 33-year-old French citizen of Moroccan origins, on suspicion of being linked to the activity of a criminal network involved in smuggling large shipments of motorcycles obtained from thefts. The total marketing value is approximately 450 thousand euros.
Preliminary research data indicate that the person concerned is suspected of being involved in the activity of a transnational criminal network involved in the theft of large shipments of expensive motorcycles in a European country, before they were smuggled and promoted in Morocco on electronic advertising sites.
This, and the search procedures, supported by other data obtained through international security cooperation channels, enabled the identification of the suspect and his arrest on today’s date in a rural area on the outskirts of Marrakesh, where the seizure and search operation resulted in the discovery inside his house of 17 bicycles declared stolen in Europe.
