Microsoft revolutionized the gaming industry with its achievements system, which launched on the Xbox 360 in December 2005. However, it’s looked more or less the same since then, and now, nearly two decades later, there are rumors that big changes are coming soon.
Back in the fall, there were rumors of the introduction of different achievement levels, which is how PlayStation’s trophy system works today with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies, and now new rumors have broken out.This time it passed XboxEra Podcast Shpeshal Nick spoke on the matter:

“What I’m hearing is that the Xbox achievement overhaul is almost complete, achievements have changed and we should see it next year.[…]When they say next year, I assume they know it’s New Year’s Eve, so I guess they mean 2024.[…]But, we should at least see it because you know how they sometimes put stuff in beta and then it goes through different hoops.
