Jeddah; Saudi domestic workers can change their sponsorship through the Musanid platform, the ministry said. Workers including house drivers can use this service. The new service is a part of improving procedures in the domestic employment sector.
In addition to the existing service on the Abshir platform, a new service has also been launched on the Musaned platform for changing the sponsorship of domestic workers. The new service came into effect from August 1. The new service will come as a relief to those working in domestic labor professions including house drivers.
Change of sponsorship is possible after payment of job change fee through Musanid and the employee, current employer and new employer agreeing the job change agreement through Musanid. The new service is implemented by protecting the rights of both employer and employee.
The ministry had released several legal reforms to protect rights in the field of domestic work. It was after this that a new service to facilitate career change services came into effect. The Musanid platform is a part of the initiative launched by the ministry to ease the procedures in the recruitment sector.
