Several agreements have been signed, within the framework of the International Agricultural Show in Meknes (SIAM), for the development of the national agricultural sector. Thus, a pilot project, concerning productive alliances, aims to support producers in an innovative way.
The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests (MAPMDREF), Mohammed Sadiki, chaired, on the sidelines of the International Agricultural Show in Meknes (SIAM), the signing ceremony of four framework partnership agreements for setting up a productive alliances project.
This initiative was made between the supervisory ministry, represented by the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA) and 4 commercial partners, namely “Marjane Holding”, the company “Nectarome Marrakech”, the company “VerdeOrto” and the company “VMM”.
El Mahdi Arrifi, Director General of the Agency for Agricultural Development (ADA), declared in this sense on productive alliances that it is a “model of organization between producers, who are organized in cooperatives and buyers or GMS. This project consists of a partnership between these two actors, under which the producers supply and sell their products to the buyers, with specifications that are dictated by the latter. This concerns a certain number of standards, in terms of quality, health safety, etc. “. The Director General of ADA also indicated that this project was deployed in collaboration with the World Bank.
