Verge Motorcycles has announced that it will be partnering with Epic Games to bring its Starmatter platform to its e-bikes. We’re told the motorcycle company intends to use artificial intelligence and the Unreal Engine to access new features, use machine learning, and better customize each bike for the rider through its Starmatter platform. This will include seeing bikes using advanced sensor technology that can update itself, while user interfaces are said to be able to enhance and adapt to the riding experience. It’s even been noted that the push to bring Starmatter to each of its bikes is ongoing, and you can already find the Unreal Engine in every new Verge superbike. “Advanced software is the DNA of the Verge superbike, but the Starmatter is something bigger,” said Verge Chief Technology Officer Marko Lehtimäki. “It’s like an invisible layer of interstellar matter covering the bike, giving each user a personalized riding experience on a personal level and enabling exciting new features. Such a comprehensive technological leap forward in motorcycles This is unprecedented. Starmatter’s sensor package will include GPS positioning, accelerometers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, and it will even be able to tell you when repairs are needed.
