Saudi Arabia has started granting licenses to sell cooking gas cylinders through self-service machines. From now on, consumers can get cooking gas cylinder services directly through self-service machines at petrol stations and supermarkets.
For this, the Ministry of Energy has announced that new machines will be installed across the country soon. All the services available through the existing system of dispensing cooking gas cylinders will also be available through self-service machines. Its function is to connect with the smart phones of the customers. According to the Ministry of Energy, consumers will easily get better services through this.
Self-service machines will soon be installed in petrol stations and large supermarkets across the country. All LPG related services will be provided round the clock through these machines. All services in the field of cooking gas sales and self-service machines are available from purchase of new gas cylinders, replacement of empty cylinders, purchase of regulators and other related cylinder equipments.
The Ministry hopes that the implementation of the new system will open the way for competition in the LPG sales sector in the country and end the monopoly in this sector. The Ministry is also aiming to promote investment in the LPG sales sector.
