Between music, slogans, flags, banners. This was the atmosphere in the great concentration of revolutionary forces that took place in the city of Barinas.
Camejo Street, in the heart of the capital of the Llanero state, was filled with thousands of people who attended to express their support for the re-election of President Nicolás Maduro.
From 5:00 pm this Wednesday, the mobilization of militancy began, public officials, students, members of the youth, older adults, who from different parts of the city and the different municipalities moved to fill the central sector of the plain entity.
Motorized caravans, walks and even a parade, with the support of La Rosaliera, were evident during the development of the event to demonstrate the strength of the Llaneros.
In addition, an atmosphere of Venezuelan rhythms enlivened the activity, between llanera music, drums, folkloric presentations and Venezuelan artists, including Omar Enrique, Emilio, who joined to support the candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole.
At 7:30 at night President Nicolás Maduro arrived and was received with llanera music and slogans from the people.
Hand in hand with Cilia Flores, he greeted the people of Barinas from the stage and addressed a message to urge those present to vote on July 28.
Maduro was accompanied by the leadership of the national and regional PSUV, including Jorge Rodríguez, Jacqueline Faria, the Chávez family, among other cabinet officials.
Before the crowd he stated that he had never seen such a great reaction in Barinas to the threat of fascism.
“The threat was here (…) Barinas in the 2021 elections voted for a supposed change, was it for better or worse, did you win?” he asked.
He mentioned that on July 28, the people of Barinas “have to stand up and tell the fascist right that they will never return (…) what is at stake is the destiny of peace in Venezuela.”
He indicated that all plans are being reviewed, with emphasis on the 1×10 of Good Government, to respond to the community’s requests, highlighting the satisfactory results of government policies.
“We went from importing 85% of food to producing 100% here on the plain,” he said.
He also reiterated to the opposition: “Make no mistake regarding this people, if they eat the light they will regret it for 100 years, because this people respects themselves and has the right to peace, freedom and democracy.”
